Ross Sears, percussion (1951-2012)
- A memorial commemoration has been scheduled for Ross on Thursday, May 17, at 5:30 p.m. in Cal Poly's Spanos Theatre.
- The Music Department will be joined by the San Luis Obispo Symphony and Festival Mozaic in presenting musical performances and personal remembrances.

Upcoming Events
Early Music Ensemble: Treasures of Tudor England — May 18, Conducted by Thomas Davies, the 12-member ensemble will perform a wide variety of works — both sacred and secular — from the pen of Henry VIII to William Byrd, the favorite composer of Queen Elizabeth I.

Jazz Night with Adam Theis — May 19, Theis will play trombone with the University Jazz Band No. 1 in a set of his compositions for hip-hop big band. UJB No. 2 and jazz combos will also perform.
